Ann Elise McCaffrey
FOUNDER & LEAD ATTORNEY
McCaffrey Immigration Law is led by Ann Elise McCaffrey, Esq. Elise graduated from the City University of New York (CUNY) law school where she gained skills in the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinic as well as the Economic Justice Project, representing individuals in immigration court and public benefits hearings. As a law student, Elise interned at two public defender offices in Brooklyn and the Bronx, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, Immigrant Justice Project in Atlanta, Georgia. Elise worked as a staff attorney at the Bronx Defenders representing immigrant clients fighting deportation, seeking legal status and citizenship. In her firm, Elise represents individuals detained by ICE, seeking advice on immigration consequences of criminal cases, citizenship, appeals as well as some federal litigation.
Elise is admitted to practice law in New York state, the federal courts for the Southern District and Western District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Elise speaks Spanish.
